Announcing the Discover Paper 2012 Spring Guide
A new guide is on the horizon! Did anyone see it coming? The Discover Paper 2012 Spring Guide will be released during the first week of April and it’s going to be epic, just like the previous ones I released. It will be the last one for a while, until I put one together for the Fall.
What can you expect to see in the Spring Guide? A heavy emphasis on posters and prints, letter-writing, paper-cuts, DIYs, and a few other goodies.

New Layout + A Giveaway {CLOSED}
I’d planned on releasing this new layout along with a giveaway on Valentine’s Day, but then I thought, why not spread generosity and love the day after Valentine’s? That and I didn’t quite complete putting finishing touches on the new layout until last night. If you’re wondering if this new layout was inspired by Valentine’s colors? Not directly. It was largely inspired by a beat up old House Industries catalog that I happened upon recently in a box of papers that I usually store tax-related info inside of. And when I came across Julia Kostreva’s beautifully designed colorblock notebooks, something inside me said, hey, these colors look amazing together. I’m usually not one for using pinks and orange in such a bold way, so this is me breaking out of my chromatic comfort zone.
For the past couple of weeks I’ve been upcycling that catalog into all sorts of paper goodies from mini journal covers, envelopes, coin envelopes, garlands, and more. I’ll be revealing more of that soon in the weeks to come.
I wanted to share a few coin envelopes and butterflies with all of you today in the form of a giveaway! But not any ordinary giveaway, this one involves Pinterest.

Friday Faves: January 27, 2012
A happiest of happy Fridays to you all! This week has been a busy one as my web design business partner and I are planning on finally releasing our website to the public come Tuesday, January 31st. In other design related news, while I was finishing up the Valentine’s Guide last week I was really in the zone and worked on re-branding and redesigning Discover Paper. So expect to see something new (pictured above) in these neck of the woods in the next couple of weeks!

Announcing the Discover Paper Valentine’s Guide
The holiday guide I released this past November was such a fun project (and a bigger success than I anticipated), that I couldn’t wait until the next Christmas season to launch another guide, so I’m releasing a Valentine’s Guide in a couple weeks that will feature hand-picked paper goods ranging from cards, gifts, crafts, and more!
