Wearhouse Business Cards

Wearhouse business cards by Justine O'Brien / featured on discoverpaper.com

These business cards by Julie O’Brien for Wearhouse, a community workshop space that “exists to help educate and inspire disenfranchised youth in the Dandenong [Victoria, Canada] area, teaching them skills in sewing, fashion, screeprinting, and more …” are oh so fun. The concept behind the design was to mimic a thread card commonly found in sewing kits and the execution was done so cleverly.

I’m keen on the simplicity of the letterpress Wearhouse logo on natural paper board and the differently colored thread, which was hand-wound — and let’s hope there weren’t any hand wounds involved! — are like icing on the cake.

Check out even more photos here.

Julie Lemonde's business cards by Nicolas Menard / featured on discoverpaper.com

Currently riveted by the variety of screenprinted patterns on these business cards by Nicolas Menard for Julie Lemonde. Nicolas mentions: There are 30 different business card designs, and the whole thing was handmade, giving a sense of uniqueness and expressing the idea that every approach is different with every client. Since Julie Lemonde was involved in the making of the cards, she also has a nice story to tell each time she gives her business card.

Talk about one of the most innovative and memorable business cards that’s literally music to our ears! Designed by Katharina Hölzl (site is in German) for musical duo Ritornell, the business cards were created ”with the aid of laser assisted milling, nine micro compositions consisting of circles, triangles and Ritornell’s contact information were applied onto a long musicbox paper stripe.”
