Light Sculptures by Marion Westerman

Netherlands-based illustrator, painter, and sculptor Marion Westerman crafted these gorgeous light sculptures entirely out of recycled paper pulp. To me, they sort of resemble bones and remnants of an alien-like creature.

Check out more of Marion’s incredible work over on her portfolio.

Wedding Decor by Anastasia Marie

My good friend Anastasia Marie, who’s been producing stellar DIYs over at Dearest Nature (my other niche blog, dedicated to nature), recently launched a new look for her website. Have a look at all the lovely newness on her site and in her shop.

Today I wanted to highlight the enchanting wedding decor Anastasia Marie, whom I’ve come to refer to as the Queen of Elegance, creates. Garlands that compliment an enchanting wedding and confetti to get the party started! She also recently introduced ribbon/twine, and other fanciful paper goods like tags and envelopes, perfect for the DIY bride who wants the loveliest of details on her big day.

Paper Memoirs

Behold the magical paper jewelry of Paper Memoirs, an Etsy shop created by artist Wansena Spearman who resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The items in the shop spark wonder and are the sort of thing I’d suspect book lovers and librarians to wear around their necks.

Check out a few of my favorites from the shop:

DIY Paper Flowers

It’s been a while since we’ve featured a roundup on Discover Paper with flowers blooming and Mother’s Day right around the corner, here’s a roundup of some fantastic DIY paper flowers. The beauty of these paper flowers is that they don’t require any upkeep AND they last all year long.

Surprise your mom with one or more of these flowers below:

Tangible Paper Wave Form

I spied this beautiful piece from Strictly Paper a while back.

Designer Andrew Nip, originally from Vancouver, Canada and current resident of Copenhagen while he completes his one-year masters at the Copenhagen Institute for Interaction Design, in collaboration with Andrew Spitz created an artful piece entitled Paper Note, a physical representation of a recording made up of paper disks.

Learn more about the project on Andrew’s site which includes a neat video of the process as well.
